At GJK Design

We believe in architectural intentionality. Our practice is dedicated to creating cohesive spaces that resonate with their environment through a rigorous focus on proportion, balance, and continuity. Every project is an opportunity to design a legacy.

Core Values
  • ACCOUNTABILITY & TRUST -We take ownership of every project as if it were our own.

  • DISCIPLINE & WORK ETHIC-Relentless execution defines our process. We approach every project with the same intensity, focus, and consistency required to perform at the highest level.

  • CLIENT-FIRST THINKING-Your goals drive the design. We listen, challenge when necessary, and guide you toward the best possible outcome—not just the easiest one.

  • BUILT WITH INTENTION- Every line has a purpose. Every detail is considered. We don’t design for appearance alone—we design for performance, longevity, and how a space is actually lived in.

  • PRECISION IN THE DETAILS- Details are where projects succeed or fail. From structural coordination to finish transitions, nothing is overlooked—because execution is everything.

Founder & Lead

Greg Kavazanjian is a licensed architect and builder whose work is defined by precision, purpose, and an uncompromising standard of execution.

A graduate of The Catholic University of America, where he earned dual degrees in Architecture and Civil Engineering in 2009, Greg brings a rare combination of technical expertise and hands-on experience to every project he undertakes.

What sets Greg apart is not just his ability to design—but his deep understanding of how things are actually built.

With over two decades of real-world construction experience spanning framing, fine carpentry, and full-scale project execution, he approaches architecture from a fundamentally different perspective. Every line drawn has intention. Every detail has been considered not just for how it looks—but for how it performs, how it endures, and how it is constructed in the field. This level of insight allows him to bridge the gap between design and execution in a way most architects simply cannot.

Greg’s work is rooted in clarity, balance, and buildability. His keen design eye is paired with an obsessive attention to detail, ensuring that each project is not only visually compelling, but structurally sound and thoughtfully resolved down to the smallest element. He believes that great architecture is not just seen—it is experienced through the way it functions, ages, and stands the test of time.

Beyond architecture, Greg’s background includes service as a firefighter—an experience that further sharpened his discipline, resilience, and commitment to protecting what matters most. That same mindset carries into his work today: every project is approached with intensity, responsibility, and pride.

At the core of everything Greg does is family. A dedicated husband and father of three boys, he understands the importance of creating spaces that are not only beautiful, but meaningful—places where life happens, memories are built, and generations grow.

His relentless drive extends beyond his profession. As an endurance athlete and multiple-time Ironman finisher, Greg embodies the same principles in his personal life that define his work: discipline, consistency, and an unyielding pursuit of excellence.

For Greg, architecture is more than a service—it’s a craft. And every project is an opportunity to build something that lasts.
